Maintenance Technician

Technician is responsible for taking ownership of the maintenance of manufacturing equipment.  Performs repairs to the manufacturing equipment to ensure proper function on day-to-day basis. Work with manufacturing engineering to ensure that equipment meets reliability and maintainability needs.


  • Diagnose and repair various types of equipment (battery manufacturing equipment preferred) to perform adjustments for equipment if needed. Routine mechanical fabrication, welding and machine tool operations as needed to modify and repair.
  • May be asked to assist in installation and construction; read and interpret blueprints and specifications and perform work accordingly; make rough sketches of work to be performed.
  • The Maintenance Tech needs to clearly document work performed, parts used and any follow up work that may be needed to be performed. May be asked to create follow up Work Order for next shift.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Performs 5S in work area.


  • Maintaining the mechanical and electrical components on a component assembly line, build, machine, and debug new equipment for future business.
  • Performing preventative maintenance.
  • Operation of Tool Room Equipment (I.E. Lathes, Grinders, Welding & Fabricating, Bridgeport Drill Press Etc.)
  • Troubleshooting automated electrical systems.
  • Safety conscious, follow all LOTO protocols.

  • Ability to cover other shifts and weekends as needed
  • Ability to work overtime
  • May assist Facility Techs if needed

Qualifications and Experience

  • Five Years’ experience In Assembly, Manufacturing and Equipment Maintenance
  • Ability To Read and Interpret Blueprints & Electrical Schematics
  • Demonstrated mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • HMI experience
  • Electrical systems installation to 480 VAC
  • Mechanical and Pneumatic systems repair experience
  • Problem Solving Skills

Additional Knowledge & Skills Preferred

  • Battery Manufacturing
  • Control systems troubleshooting (PLC)
  • ABB Robot troubleshooting
  • Laser welding troubleshooting
  • A background in QAD, Oracle programs


  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5 – 7 years of Electrical, Mechanical and Pneumatic systems repair experience
